A to Z Wineworks Recognized by B the Change Media as a 'Best for the World' Leader
Berkeley, CA - A to Z Wineworks, Oregon’s best-selling wine brand, was recognized and celebrated by B the Change Media last week as a ‘Best for the World’ company. A to Z President, Amy Prosenjak, and Founder, Deb Hatcher, spoke at the event held in Zellerbach Hall, University of California Berkeley.
A rigorous assessment by independent, non-profit B Lab evaluates a company’s performance as a force for good. Those scoring in the top 10% of B Corps across the world receive honors. A to Z exceled for community engagement including such areas as employee diversity and support, supplier relations, community service, and charitable giving.
A to Z Wineworks pays an average 33% over the local, living wage; 100% of health benefit premiums for all full-time employees, offers paid volunteer time off and tuition reimbursement, has a good percentage of minority management, and works with community organizations to help vulnerable children and families. A to Z Wineworks became a B Corporation in 2014 and was named one of three global B Corp Champions in 2015 for modeling best practices.
