2018 A to Z Oregon Riesling
Brilliant and clear with emerald highlights, the 2018 A to Z Wineworks Oregon Riesling is expressive and expansive on the nose. Initial lime zest and tangerine aromas mingle with gooseberry, apricot, meringue, honey, mint, jasmine, gardenia, and green tea. The palate is impeccably balanced with refreshing, mouth-watering acidity and a bare touch of sweetness. It is bright, intense and exotic with ample richness and texture that lingers, finishing clean, fresh and juicy. Fun and serious all at the same time, this wine will gain in complexity over the next ten years, but it would be a shame to wait that long. Although delicious by itself, this is an excellent food wine that pairs well, even with spicy dishes.
2017 A to Z Oregon Riesling
The 2017 A to Z Wineworks Oregon Riesling shimmers in the glass with a glint of yellow gold. Compelling floral and fruit aromas invite, evocative of honeysuckle, lime, starfruit, kiwi, kumquat and quince with secondary aromas of candied ginger, lemon, elderflower, jasmine and gardenia. The lively palate is juicy, with balanced acidity and mouth-watering flavors of lime, limoncello, honey, pear and white peach. The 2017 A to Z Riesling showcases the quality of the vintage and the complexity gained from sourcing across Oregon. Showing great length with a beautiful finish, this is an excellent food wine that pairs well with food, even spicy dishes.
2016 A to Z Oregon Riesling
The 2016 A to Z Oregon Riesling is a pale gold color with just enough green hue to suggest spring is on its way. Piquant aromas and flavors of honeysuckle, lime zest, lemon balm, citron and spice include floral hints of apple-blossom and freesia over time. The wine has good intensity and no shortage of personality, bright yet rich and smooth with a hint of sweetness. Highlighting the generosity of the vintage and the complexity gained from sourcing across Oregon, the 2016 A to Z Oregon Riesling is drinking great now and will age gracefully.
2015 A to Z Oregon Riesling
The 2015 A to Z Oregon Riesling has exuberant, almost heady aromas of white flowers, lilac, elderflower, lime blossom, tangerine peel and lemongrass that settle down revealing nuances of lemon sorbet, green tea, talc and sea shells. The wine is bright yet rich in the mouth, impeccably balanced with a hint of sweetness, moderate acidity and nice linearity. The finish is extremely long, crisp and ultimately refreshing with lingering flavors of flowers, lime zest and wet stones. Already drinking great, the 2015 A to Z Riesling will age and gain in complexity and depth over the next fifteen years.
