2018 A to Z Oregon Chardonnay
The 2018 A to Z Chardonnay greets with aromas of lemon, lime zest, kumquat, quince, spiced apple, pear, peach, melon, apricot and lemongrass with hints of sage and fresh cut hay. The wine dances on the palate, alive with flavors of citrus fruits, green apple and starfruit. It is rich and yet balanced, fleshy and yet precise. 2017 A to Z Oregon Chardonnay
The 2017 A to Z Chardonnay radiates with a beautiful shine in the glass, then greets with notes of lemongrass, key lime, honey, pear and white peach. Deeper aromas of grapefruit, honeydew, pineapple and graham crackers come through. The broad palate is fresh with vibrant acidity exhibiting all of the characteristics of a true cool climate wine with aromatics and flavors in perfect harmony. 2016 A to Z Oregon Chardonnay
The 2016 A to Z Chardonnay has abundant, juicy fruit aromas that jump right out of the glass: just-picked Anjou pear, green apple, white flower, lime rind, lemon & grapefruit pith. There are subtle aromas of white flowers and honeysuckle, with just a hint of flintiness. On the palate, the balance is seamless. Fruit again leads with quince and lemon giving way to a stoniness and salinity that makes this wine lip-smacking good. There is a richness and ripeness to the wine that is somehow in perfect balance with the freshness and tension of the acidity. This is a wine that begs for a second (and third!) taste.
2015 A to Z Oregon Chardonnay
The 2015 A to Z Chardonnay has primary aromas of tangerines, lemon curd, white flowers, apricots, lime zest, kumquats, honeydew and wet stones. As the wine opens, aromas evolve to include beeswax, nutmeg and honey over time. A juicy and succulent attack has floral and citrus flavors while the mid-palate mirrors the aromatics with a burst of flavors offering tremendous depth balanced by perfect acidity and concentration. The finish is bright and focused, with a clean finish redolent of wet stones and citrus.
